For well over thirty years, the company I work for has been instrumental in hiring students as part time employees. We cooperate with the county educational system to work with 11th or 12th graders. Our job is to obtain part time temporary help in performing minimal labor jobs. However, the job also is to teach and train students in the way life really is outside of school and home. We want to provide them with education that will hopefully last through their work life and maybe into their personal life.
The special Steve Jobs Schools, will be open from 7:30am to 6:30pm on the normal monday through friday in keeping with a traditional work week. The kids that will attend these schools, will come and go as they please, the only requirement will be that they are in attendance of the heart of the school day. From 10:30am to 3:00pm. These schools will only be closed for Christmas and New Year’s. The students families will also be able to go on vacation when they please, and students will not have to worry about missing class, because there is there are no traditional classes!
The two-story brick building opened for classes in the fall of 1939, offering kindergarten for the first time. The first senior class graduates from the new school in spring 1940. Newspaper accounts described the school as being one of the most modern and up-to-date in all of Iowa.

For him, it probably suggests a hidden quality in all of us. That we are too busy with our own lives we don’t see what it around us. For instance, the narrator is currently on a trip but still takes some time to appreciate what’s around him; and we in today’s society are exactly the same. But, instead of maybe traveling, we are going to work, school, and other things.
Negative thinking will merely get you no’s and invite negative philosophy people. Positive thinking will get you what you focus on and appeal to positive people. I have read so many books on this and listened to so many CD’s that it began to soak into my head what the power of positive thinking was all about. I am not a psychologist that can tell you how all this works but what I can say that I at long last got it. I at long last realized what so many had been saying. What you don’t apprehend is how we have all been programmed for years by the find, through TV, radio and the news. We are a negative thinking society. You have to reprogram your mind from years of wayward thinking. It is just not an easy task and for some may takes years to attain.
The students generally visit us first in the office for an interview. The Co-Op educator has selected four or five students she or he think will fit within the company. We are provided with their names and a background. We then schedule a day and time for the interview. Each student is counseled as to first how to dress for the interview. They are also advised on how to perform in the interview.
As a parent, it’s important to listen to your child and their needs. See how they’re doing in school and decide for yourself whether or not they need extra help.
