Mirtos
Mirtos, the cosy former fisher village, situated in the most Southern part of Crete, nests on the coast of the Libyan sea. It is one of the last remaining secrete places in Europe that has preserved its originality and has remained almost untouched through the years – despite the “blessings” of modern tourism. Mirtos boasts a beautiful, fine-shingled beach, awarded the Blue European Flag, and there are idyllic bathing coves nearby.
Family-run taverns serve you the local delicacies. Some souvenir shops, a bakery shop, a butcher, a pharmacy, ATM and several super markets offer you anything needed while you are in holidays.
All this and the proverbial hospitality of the village people will tempt you to stay forever.
